More legal capacity, without another hire.

Most in‑house teams now have more contracts and negotiations than their headcount covers. Lex Aude takes on a share of it for a fixed monthly fee, to your positions, with a partner responsible for everything we deliver.

We review contracts, run negotiations and absorb peaks.

  • Commercial contracts

We review and redline the contracts your business sends to legal, to your positions, and carry the ones that need it through every round of negotiation.

  • Capacity for peaks

We take on the same work for a fixed period when a quarter-end, a procurement cycle or a vacancy brings more than the team carries.

  • Indian law

We advise in our own name on contracts, investments and acquisitions, and technology and data terms governed by Indian law.

  • Playbooks, templates and training

We write your playbook, build your templates, review the contracts you have signed and train your lawyers to work with the tools.

Partners, lawyers and engineers work as one team.

A named partner is responsible for your engagement, signs every document before it leaves the firm and joins your calls. Commercial lawyers review, draft and negotiate each contract.

Software engineers on the same team build the technology the lawyers work with. It reads every draft against your positions on the day it arrives, compares each round with the last and keeps one record of each negotiation. Nothing leaves the firm without a lawyer’s review and a partner’s signature.

How we work

We work to your positions, through your own channel.

Your positions govern the work. The points you reserve come back to you with a proposed position before we concede anything, and the business keeps the commercial decisions while your team keeps the legal ones.

Work arrives and returns through the channel your team already uses, so nothing changes in how your business reaches legal.

How an engagement runs

You know the fee for a month before the month begins.

We agree a fixed fee for the month, for the share of your contract work we take on. It does not change with the rounds a contract takes or the calls it needs. A contract that runs to six rounds costs the same as one that runs to two.

We bill no hours, so you pay for the work and not for the time, and a peak passes without a hire. We quote anything outside the agreed share before we do it.

How the fee works

Your counsel directs our work on contracts governed by other law.

Lex Aude is a firm of advocates in India. We advise in our own name on contracts governed by Indian law, and a partner signs the advice.

We work under the direction of your own qualified counsel on contracts governed by US law or the law of another country. Your counsel decides the legal questions and remains responsible for the legal advice to your business. We bring each contract to them ready to decide.

Regulation and standards

A partner takes the first call.

Tell us what your team carries, and the partner proposes the share Lex Aude takes on and the fee for a month of it.
